The Shop

Gord now provides a full shop facility to meet his clients needs. From custom design and fabrication of that special project to repairs of family treasures. The shop was specifically designed as a woodworking shop utilizing the shop experience gained throughout the years. Under-slab dust extraction piping & hot water heated floor are just two of the considerations used in the construction. An open floor plan allows for maximum utilization.

Gord's shop has been a constant upgrade and work in progress to set up all the tools for maximum efficiency and production. The shop is now at the point where Gord can address all the production and shop procedures he has dreamed of since the initial construction.

The latest tools purchased are 1) a thickness sander that has a 25" width capacity and can sand thicknesses down to 1/8"; 2) an edge sander – 6" x 90" capacity that allows much faster finishing to exact sizing; 3) a tabletop spindle sander which allows sanding of interior surfaces and curves in a accurate and efficient manner. 4) A Milwaukee 1 HP router mounted in a custom Jessem Router table. The accuracy one can achieve with this tool for edging and mouldings is beyond compare.

Gord's lumber rack also has many species of wood, kept at a constant temperature and humidity level so it is ready to be a part of your project. Whatever your custom woodworking needs are, Gord would be pleased to discuss your special requirements.
